The problem on the table
Somali children growing up in different parts of the world have access to an enormous amount of online video content, but finding age-appropriate content that reflects the Somali language, culture and Islamic values can be difficult. Barbaar TV needed mobile applications that could bring its children’s content into one dedicated platform and make it easy for families to browse and watch from their phones and tablets.
What we did about it
The solution we built for them
Tiriig designed and developed Barbaar TV’s Android and iOS applications as a video-browsing platform for children and families.
The apps provide access to Barbaar TV’s collection of cartoons, nursery rhymes, Somali-language content and Islamic programmes, creating a dedicated mobile home for its educational and entertainment content.

Outcome
